Getting to Know the Sacraments

The Catholic Church recognizes seven sacraments that lay the foundation of every Catholic life: Baptism, Confession, Holy Communion, Confirmation, Matrimony, Holy Orders, and Anointing of the Sick.

Baptism is the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith, a sacrament of God’s grace, and a covenant that God has initiated.

Confession allows us to hold ourselves accountable for these sins, invites us to repent with contrite hearts and seek true forgiveness.

Holy Communion is the summit of our faith where we that are prepared sacramentaly in confession in the state of grace encounter the true presence of Jesus, body, blood, soul and diviinity in the most Holy Sacrament of the alter.

Preparing to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation is not just a catechetical program where we instill knowledge in the minds of young Catholics. It is a process where young people experience God in their lives through the signs, symbols, rituals, and Sacraments of the Church.

The Sacrament of Marriage is a beautiful covenant and mystery, strengthened by God’s love. God intended the relationship between a man and woman in marriage to mirror the love between Christ and His Church.

Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to His apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time. From the very beginning of human history, men have been invited by God and given their "yes" out of great love for God and service to His Church.

The Anointing of the sick is a powerful sacrament that addresses both the physical and spiritual well-being of the individual, emphasizing healing and God's mercy.
