VISION AND MISSION
The Adoration Ministry will help people grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ present in the Blessed Sacrament through Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration.
OBJECTIVE
We will teach and inspire others to live in the friendship of Jesus Christ, who waits patiently for all in the Blessed Sacrament.
The entrance to the chapel is located at the rear of the church building, facing north toward Myrna Street.
YOUR ROLE AS AN ADORER
Each of us, as adorers, represents our parish in continual adoration and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. We are not here just for ourselves. As a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, it should be a source of great comfort to know that someone is praying for us continually day and night. Likewise, the chapel will always be available to all for prayer.
PRAYER INTENTIONS
SOLEMN BLESSING WITH THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
"Benediction is the adoration in song and prayer of the Blessed Sacrament, exposed in a monstrance. It is done as a manifestation of faith and the honoring of the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist by an adoring community. It concludes with a final blessing using the Blessed Sacrament to confer the blessing.” The Evening Prayer of the Church takes place within the context of the Service of Benediction.
The Eucharistic Congress usually takes place in June, near the Corpus Christi Feast Day.
