Confirmation is one of three sacraments of Christian initiation. It means beginning as we are now called to grow into a deeper faith relationship with Christ and the church. As we grow in our faith thru formation and living the commandments, we move further away from sin.  In moving closer to the Most Holy Trinity, we becoming witnesses of what it means to live an authentically Christian life in sanctifying grace.

In Confirmation, we are anointed for a special mission, like the priests, prophets and kings of old, and Jesus in the new covenant. Every person is called to share in the priestly, prophetic and kingly role of the anointed one, Christ.

Confirmation

... the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,  goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control..                                                             Gal. 5:22

The final sacrament of initiation is Confirmation.  Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. With the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation we are more bound to the church and enriched with the special strength of the Holy Spirit (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1285).  Through the sacrament we are called be a true witnesses of Jesus and to spread and defend the Catholic faith by words and deeds.
